This Intellectual Property Policy outlines how Toorunstyle (operated by Karen Lenton LLC) respects, protects, and responds to intellectual property (IP) concerns on its platform. We are committed to safeguarding creative rights while ensuring a fair and transparent process for reporting and resolving IP-related issues.

1. Intellectual Property Guidelines

Toorunstyle prohibits the use of content that infringes on copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights. All users and designers are expected to:

  • Upload only original or properly licensed artwork.
  • Avoid using copyrighted characters, celebrity images, logos, or any third-party content without permission.
  • Refrain from imitating or copying styles, themes, or designs that are recognizable as belonging to others.

We reserve the right to remove listings and take further action (such as account suspension) against individuals or entities who repeatedly violate these guidelines.

2. Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and global IP regulations, we adopt a “Three Strikes” policy for repeated violations:

  • Strike 1: Warning issued, content removed.
  • Strike 2: Additional content removed, account under review.
  • Strike 3: Permanent removal of the user’s account and all associated content.

Each case will be evaluated individually, and Toorunstyle reserves the right to terminate accounts at its sole discretion in the interest of legal compliance and platform integrity.

4. What to Include in Your Takedown Notice

To ensure prompt and accurate handling, please include the following in your notice:

  • Your contact information: Full legal name, email address, phone number.
  • A description of the copyrighted/trademarked work: Include details and any registration number if applicable.
  • The specific URL(s) where the infringing content is located.
  • Proof of ownership: Screenshots, registration certificates, or legal documentation.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that the complaint is made in good faith and that you are the rightful owner or authorized agent.
  • A signature (physical or electronic).

5. Counter-Notification Procedure

If you believe content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notice with:

  • Your full contact details.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that the content was wrongly removed.
  • Consent to the jurisdiction of the relevant U.S. Federal District Court.
  • Your signature (electronic or handwritten).

Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we may reinstate the content unless the original complainant initiates legal action within 10 business days.

6. Fair Use and Disputes

If you believe your use of material falls under fair use, please include a clear explanation in your counter-notification. However, note that fair use is interpreted differently depending on jurisdiction, and we may still remove content if it poses legal risks.
